Pink Onyx

Onyx is a type of limestone that is found in various colors. When limestone is exposed to high temperatures and pressures underneath the earth for a long time, it is transformed into onyx. The main constituent of onyx is calcium carbonate. Some types of onyx contain 99% calcium carbonate. The presence of aluminum and magnesium in onyx causes a variety of colors in it. Pure onyx is completely white. This type of stone is especially used in decoration, stairs, interior facades, columns and floors. Sculpture is another important use of this stone.
